Any Southern Cali Mountainbikers?
Another feeler.
Any of you Southern Cali brothers mountainbike? I used to bike a lot several years ago, then stopped all at a sudden, and recently got back into it. I was so impressed with all the technological advances in mountain bikes, that I ended up getting myself a new full suspension bike to go with it. I got myself a Giant.
Some of my friends Mtn bike on a weekly basis. Some go as often as four times a week. This Saturday we are planning on riding Redbox trail in Pasadena, but if that is snowed in, we are going to hit JPL. If anyone is interested, let me know.

I'm in same boat as you I used to mountainbike when I lived back east then stopped. Right before I moved to cali a couple years ago I bought a santa cruz full suspension, disc brakes, etc, $3000 dollar bike thinking I'd ride some. Basically, I rode it a few times in Colorado last summer and that's it. Man I need to get back into it.

Im down to ride up there with the Ventura folks. We should probably plan a ride for February or March? What do you all think. Gaterh up your troops. I can probably gather a a few troops from down here in L.A.to ride up there for this ride too. Never been to Sycamore. What are the trails like?
Blown, them Santa Cruz bikes are awesome. Have you had a chance to check out the trails down there in the desert?

Surf, so you ride too bro? Awesome. Get that shock fixed so that we could hit some trails.

^ Yeah bro. By Mt. Wilson, near Angeles Crest Highway, there is that trail, that I believe is called Red box, and that is mostly down hill. This is where we are planning on riding Saturday.
I was also told that at Big Bear, in the spring, you can catch a ride on the skilift and ride down. There are supposed to be many down hill trails, and bikes specifically built for that kind of riding.
