I was wondering where is a good place to have alterations done on leather. And at a reasonable price! (I know...I'm cheap!) I recently got a leather jacket but the sleeves are really long. Everything else is fine except for those damn sleeves!>: It gets uncomfortable when it bunches up at the elbows! Thanks for any input!
Im not conesuire on leather shops but the only one I've ever used is the one by Circuit City in Pearl City. Its on the left side of the building with all the other little stores. I had carrt ib bag fixed there once and a friend of mine had his leather jacket repaired there once too. Not sure of the name but if you go by there you will see it
I took my leather jacket to a leather shop in the Aiea shopping center on the mauka side above times. They also shortened the sleeves on my friends jacket too. I forget the name but they did good work. I think the shopping center has three levels with Times on the bottom and the Aiea bowling alley on the top. They are in the middle level on your left as you pull in the drive next door to a liquor store.
I just dropped off my jacket yesterday at Modern Shoe Repair near Circuit City at Pearlridge. The lady there charges about $50 to shorten the sleeves. She said there are a lot of people bringing in there leather jackets and suits to have it altered so she's really busy! My jacket will be ready in 2 weeks. So we'll see how it turns out!
