Weather should be awesome... the roads will finally be all cleaned up. The snow usually starts melting at about the end of February and in early March... it stays cold through March and the roads are dry... but there is a lot of gravel here and there within the city. Toward the middle of March they bring out the street sweepers when they know there is no more threat of snow. By the end of March and beginning of April it is beautiful and warm again with the roads in awesome shape. They will be having a bike blessing and some stunt shows around that time in Anchorage so you shouldnt miss out on it! If you are here long enuff you could go up to Tanacross with us for the summer road races that I compete in.

hit me up when u get here and ill show you around.

just had a look on the net about the tanacross racing you mentioned aaron, looks like i`ll be long gone by then, unless i meet a gorgeous alaskan lass who doesnt let me leave (doubt it though).shame coz i wouldve loved to have watched the races up there !! ........have you got any old photos of previous races there mate ??

phil (my buddy) wants us to do around 500 miles a day on his bikes to get them ready, looks like we`ll have to shoot off to places like homer and back to girdwood in day sessions, but i imagine after a week of that i`ll be knackered and want a day off, which would be superb to spend in anchorage watching some stunt shows !!

cant wait mate !

you should take the bikes up north... head to king mountain, which is past palmer... some awesome riding up there. either that or through hatchers pass. when exactly are you here? they have many tok races, and they usually get started pretty early so im not sure how you would miss the early ones.
