Talking My new bike

Got my new bike on friday. Moved to the dark side & got a GSXR 750, Yamaha don't do any 750 anymore (Except R7 but there not exactly cheap & easy to get!)
So far so good think it suits me nice low down torque but still a top end rush if you ring its neck & cheaper to run than a litre bike & comfy for a sports bike.

Pretty standard at the moment. Got a DB screen & tail tidy on the way. Maybe a Yoshimura can on the way too but happy with the induction roar at the moment

Looks good.
I know a few people that have had the gixxer 750 and loved them.

Stay safe

Yep I love it already its amazing how much more low down torque it has compared to the R6.
The R6 was a bloody good first bike to learn on though shame I could not afford to keep it as a track bike will miss reving it up to 15K lol.

Just like mine. 1st thing to do is get it real clean and put a coat of wax on it, cause the paint is well thin. Rear spring adjustment is a total git and the headlight, on main beam is crap. Other than that it's brilliant. Loads of parts on ebay. Ive had mine up to 177 and done a few trackdays. With an akrapovic can, PC3 and BMC it made 131BHP at the tyre. Parts cost quite a bit more than yamaha, but servicing is a lot easier than my old R6.

Good idea putting a coat of wax on. I also use the sdoc 100 power gel cleaner its the best cleaner I have found & has some corrosion inhibiters for all the metal bits brings things up like new again.

Got to set my suspension up will put it back to stock to start with & go from there, Already had to change the rear dog bones as the last owner must of been a short ass as it was lowered WTF!.....luckily had standard ones with it. Settings seem all over the place at the mo so will skin my knuckles on that rear shock soon then lol

Default Why missing 15,000rpm?

I had a K2 GSXR750 and that happily went to 15,000rpm and regularly saw 14,000rpm.

I've dropped back to a Triumph D675 after getting knocked off GSXR and seeing the price off the 750s had rocketed. I do miss the torque and power of the 750 which was quite enough - the 675 is shorter geared and just doesn't have quite the turbine like shove right from 2,000-14,500rpm.

Cheers

Richard

I just meant that i usually had to rev the R6 up to get any power, The 750 will rev too but I don't have to for it to go.
I tried a D675 loved it sounded great went well I just did not get on with it comfort wise , So 750 it was.
