Default Need new tyres any recommendations

Need to put some new tyres on my 2000 R6, its currently sporting some Dunlop 207's but i'm not that keen on them. Was thinking about possibly trying some of the Avon Sports or Metzeller Sportecs if they come in the right sizes? Do about 4k miles a year, mux of road riding and a few trackdays

Also, just looking at my current ones, the front is currently a 120/65 instead of the stock 120/60, is it worth changine back?

I would recommend a 120/70 front as the taller profile gives a better feel when tipping it into a corner, Most people run this combo or the 65 as you had fitted but 70's are a more popular size to buy. Check the front mudgaurd clearance is ok or move it a bit if its to close, Might want to drop the forks through the top yoke a few mm to compensate for the higher front end to make the sterring quicker. Do a search on here loads of people have done it.

I was running pilot power 2ct's (Softer edges than the standard powers) which i got on well with in all weathers conditions.
I would be tempted with the newish pirelli Diablo Rosso's not tried them but read good things about them. Bike mag liked them on a new blade above all the other sporty tyres.

To be honest most of the top makes sporty tyres (Michelin pilot powers/2ct's, Pirelli diablo corsa 3's or newer rosso, Metzeler M3, bridgestone BT016 etc etc) are pretty good for road & track comes down to personal choice & the best deal at the time

Could go for more track tyres like pirelli supercorsa's but they are not the best if you get caught in the rain on the road (Might have a few brown pant moments lol) but great on a dry track

Pirelli Diablo corsa III are the dogs bollocks matey.

Oh and go with a 70 profile up front and drop the forks through the tyop yolk 8mm, the difference is amazing
