Exclamation It's whistling...

Yes I know it's very early in the morning, but anyway here goes....

I've been away for nearly 3 weeks, the R6 has been left untouched but.... literally when I got back it starting whistling, like a very low toned whistle.

First I tried to disarm it...failed. I thought I'm not even going to try and start it, just in case!!

Well anyway, I plugged by charger in and the noise stopped, an hour later disconnected the charger and the bike was arming/disarming. So it seems that the battery may have been discharged and the alarm had gone into sleep mode.

FYI the alarm is a datatool.

I just wanted to know is this normal?

Thanks for in advance.

Not familiar with datatools sorry... My meta does similar things when left for ages goes into a sleep mode but soon sorts itself out once i have disarmed it. What do the instructions say? Or check out there web page should have details on there.
But I would recommend leaving a charger on the bike when you are leaving it for long periods, most of the modern chargers are designed for this and just click on & off when needed to keep the battery topped up. Should not get any trouble then

Could be that it just got bored and started to whistle to its self to keep itself company, not getting used for a bit

Yeah I think it got bored and was craving attention!!!

It got that this morning!!! Damn did I miss that thing!!!

It seems that the battery nearly died and the alarm was b*tch1ng about it

Oh well all is good.

Btw... I might be moving to Staines in the near future.... anyone on the forum from there/near there? Could do with making some friends in the biker community

Thanks
