Default slip on modification help needed

hi folks, ok i have a 07 r6 which still has standard full exhaust system with lambda sensor and cables. i am looking to fit a carbon can company slash cut slip on tailpipe (pretty much same as racefit slash pipe)
what am i best to do as i have heard i have to do away with the lambda sensor all together?? which i am happy to do, as long as it will not cause any reliability issues?? basically, is their anything else i need to do?? the purpose is purely for looks alone, and not too bothered about any power gains, no interest in power commander etc.
any advice on "how to" guide would be much appreciated. many thanks

Hi,

If it it purley a slip on then you do NOT need to remove the lamda sensor on the 2006/7/maybe08 r6's. The o2 sensor is in the back part of the header pipes (big box at back of CAT etc. Removing it will maybe cause more problems with the ECU if you are not fitting a PC3 to adjust air/fuel mixture, when you have to remove the o2 sensor anyway.

Leave it connected and its the same as any other slip on fitment mate. I have loads of pix somewhere, I don't have standard headers anymore as race-bike only and sold my standard headers on "shebay" a while back.
