Well I am still home and didin't make it to the track yet.
I had a little string of bad luck yesterday trying to make it to the track.
First about an hour from my house I blew a tire on my trailer that also destroyed my trailer fender, then about an hour later I see smoke coming from my rig so here I think maybe it was a piece of rubber from my tire that was rubbing on something. I pull over and can tell it is coming from my truck, I looked underneath and my fuck'n truck is on fire!
Man was I scared!! I immiediately thought about the 3 fire extinguishers that I forgot at home. I quickly got a couple bottle of waters and put it out. It ended up being tranny oil on my exhaust pipe burning. I should have let the fucker burn.
After I unhooked the trailer of course.
After figuring out the problem and a cop stopping I limped it to the next exit to a truck stop risking fire again and loosing my tranny. I left the trailer at the truck stop and Fuck'n paid $520 to get the truck towed home. I am definately upgrading my standard AAA to AAA PLUS!
I am picking up my brother inlaws truck this morning and will be at summit today by 3:00 to hang out and do the tackday tomorrow.
The thing is my Warranty just ran out less than a month 1/2 ago after 3 years, (there is only 30,500 miles on the truck) and the tranny and transfer case was replaced a year 1/2 ago. Does anyone here agree that Ford should make good on there work and fix the tranny leak since it was worked on by them and there work did not hold up?
