Default QS Kill Time for '06

Moved from an '03 to an '06. Looking for a good base kill time for the Quick Shifter on the 06?

Searched, but could only find the earlier models.

Thanks!

much will depend on the type of track your on as well. Longer kill times (65+) will work well on all tracks especially on tracks with corners you have to shift leaned over in.. SHorter kill times (55 or so) will work better on tracks with majority of shifts made with the bikes straight up n down, and with long straights. Less kill time.. less time motor is not making power.. BUT.. if leaned over while shifting short kill times unsettle the bike a bit more and you may need to roll off throttle a tad ..

Good point. i.e. Jennings for sure! Only one upshift leaned over here at Willow and it's a short shift anyway...

Did you get an 08 this year, Greg?

Not yet, hoping to late this year. Have 2 very good 07's with alot of $$ in them and just holding out. Have heard very very good things about the 08, and the dyno charts i have seen confirm the midrange is much improved. My superbike 600 has similar midrange (to a stock 08) but that motor alone cost like $5,000 .
Yes, at tracks like jennings and i even noticed at CMP this year there are shifts made leaned over. A super short kill time would make the trans more "clunky" and not smooth when shifting. Other thing of not, dont fart around with the shift. Make a quick, "sure-footed" shift. A half ass slow shift will add kill time and potentially lead to miss shifts.

Guys, thanks. Good stuff.

I am still trying to set up the '06 and get comfortable. Unfortunately, I'm about 1.5 seconds off my usual times that I did on my '03 after my second race weekend.
