Default sponsor-house...???

I was never really big on signing up on this site. Was told by a friend and fellow MN brother that doing so would allow me to get a great deal on an exhuast (I'm sure he'll read this soon enough and PM me ).

Well, I signed up. Put some minimal info on my profile. i.e. a race win in my first/only race of 07 (on a bike I'd never ridden before...yada yada) I've put in applications with aforementioned exhaust sponsor as well as requests for continued sponsorship with 2 companies I've endorsed in the past. So far, nuthin... What gives?? Even if it's a "Piss off, loser", you would think they'd be somewhat obligated to answer all applications...

I'd rather not hear the 'did you follow up?' response. What good is the website & application process then? I've got sponsored by several companies in the past simply by going through the company itself. I didn't have to follow up then.

Thoughts? Experiences?

PS. If you have access to the quag, check out my half-naked sister-in-law. We don't get along...is pretty much an understatement. So might as well exploit her..

Sup Greg!
When did you sign in and request for the sponsorship? If it was recently it may be to late in the season for an opening, I have had that trouble before. I had to try again for the next season and did it around December or so.
If you do not get the sponsorship they do send you a decline notice and it is on your sponsor house page.

Hey Bart! Long time no see!
I haven't got any declined responses yet. And I've def consider that I am indeed late. However, one of the three I know for sure had a NLT date later than my submission date. But yes, they were all done recently.
And the fact that they're for continued support vice a new sponsor should afford a least a little consideration... my .02.
I just looked on yamaha's site, and you have to have your stuff in before the END of the racing year (Oct) to get contingency... so how do these little companies (maybe it's because they ARE little and have limited sponsorship ability- al beit Vortex; they sponsor everyone!) want your stuff in 5 months before my (future) bike is on the showroom floor??? This bike could be considered somewhat of a impulse buy at that.

I've had some companies take a while to get back. If you are ready to order i'd go straight to the company, email them telling them you applied and are waiting for a reply so you can place your order. That might speed them up. ;)
