Default Stupid NOOB question.

So I've read all the stickies and such and this is just sad....I can't get my 07 R6 to do a power wheelie in 1st gear....there i said it. I keep tryin and i'm gassin the hell outta it in first up to like 12K and it's not comin up and i'm not fat i only weigh 125lbs. so wtf is goin on why wont that front come up even a foot? I wanna learn basic power wheelies before i even attempt to clutch it up. This is a stupid problem which everyone says is simple but it is a problem for me nevertheless

try dropping a tooth off your front sprocket, that helped a ton for me it still barely power wheelies but if I clutch it it will come up at 6 and carry to redline, and also will come up with some help and the clutch in second around 7-8k but thats also coming from someone who weighs 190lbs(I'm not fat, I'm a marine)... so idk if this helped at all but I'm going to a 520 conversion soon and I'm gonna stay a tooth down in front and add one to the rear. Hope this helps.

your prob still slightly scared about wheeling so you lean forward with your chest and dont actually pull up to get the wheel up... you really just need to lean back and hit the power and the bike should come straight up... but you should learn to clutch you will have more control over the wheelie

try throttle up to 12-13k rpm...close throttle...then snap it back open...u can mess around with power wheelies to get the feel for the bike commin up quick and will get you used to the feeling...but learn with the clutch its safer...i want to get a fiddy so i can learn to ride it out for long stand up wheelies.

don't waist time doing power wheelies!!!!!!! Clutching is safer more consistant and can be done slow fast or at any speed in between. baby steps. rollin to a parking lot lower your rear tire pressure to like 20psi. this will make the bike a lot more stable while in the air and give you a better foot print to pull her up. start out at like 15mph (not that important but just fast enought that the bike wants to balance its self) pull the clutch in just enough to engage and rev about plus 1500 rpm's then let out the clutch. the bike will lerch, maybe even lift a little. when you feel it come up stop twisting and press the rear brake. learn brake control now not when it to late and you've went to far. try to use the brake to bring the bike bake down (not closing the throttle to return to earth) go in bigger and bigger revs fro the same 15mph till you can lift the front consistantly. be disaplined by using the rear brake to lower the fron evey time. by doing this it will be a natural reaction to press the brake to stop your upword momentum. this will save you if you try to clutch and go to 12 with out learning brake control. it will also keep your wheelies from speeding up to much. don't chase the wheelie out to far just pop catch with the rear brake and you be doing wheelies in not time. hope that helps
