stock footpegs???

i've tried searching for this topic but I couldn't find anything on it...

does anyone here change out their stock footpegs with something stronger?? i've heard about footpegs snapping while doing standups. i have an 02 R6 if that matters.

I thought it was the bolts for the rear sets that was breaking and people were replacing them with a higher grade bolt.

you can get stunt pegs, i've heard about the rear peg snapping but it was usually on 01-03 R1s i think... if you do get nervous about it then look for some stuntpegs, www.stuntsteel.com has them for f4i's and i think r6's...

thanks, i was just checking to see if it was something common and so far it doesn't seem to be.

i checked out stuntsteel.com and they have a category for stunt pegs but they don't carry any of them. i guess it's something new they're going to be coming out with.

you could just jb weld that shit if you're really worried about it, but i probably did a few thousand standups on my 03 r6 all on the rear pegs and never had one break

you can get a subcage if you're worried about it. the passenger pegs are much stronger on them

i just got a 03 R6 and before i did any stand ups on the passenger pegs i stood on it first and it felt like it was gonna snap!! but it might be the bolts... i think ill swap out my bolts and try that out. a good cheap starting point.
