Default wheelie ?

OK you guys do these all the time so here it is you say that a clutch up is the way to go doing a wheelie and that power up are dangerous and I have seen vice versa which is the truth. Well I have two friends that pull wheelies one of them clutches up and the other one powers his up one went down the other day witch one was it? I don't mess with wheelie to much other than pick up then put it right back down, but I have watch them do it every time we ride and one looks to me like he controls it better than the other one.

Clutch wheelies are less predictable and not necessary. My old 03 r6 would come up in 3rd gear with preloading the front and powering it up. What's important is hitting the balance point. When you get there the r6 has a sweet spot and can wheelie for miles.

clutching wheelies is the way to go. when you clutch it is way more PREDICTABLE than powering them up. when you clutch them up you get it right to balance point without gaining any speed. powering up you are going to pick up some speed by the time you get to the balance point. it doesn't matter which way you get it up if you don't have that rear brake covered and proper throttle control then yes you will go down. but i def prefer to clutch rather than power up.

^+1 It doesn't matter that you can get up, however you get it up, if you don't have throttle control your gonna go down.
I clutch up my wheelies on the street bike and feel they are way more predictable. On the dirt bike i power them up and feel they are pretty predictable but not as predictable as clutching...

The one that use the CLUTCH is the one that went down over the weekend. I think which ever way is comfortable for the rider is the way to go. The one that does the power wheelies has not gone down yet.

Either way isnt gonna make u not wreck. If your doing wheelies...more than likley your gonna go down sometime.
