Default Wheelie + motor life question

So yesterday I'm on the freeway up on one in third gear just cruisin along for about maybe a mile and I start wondering if the motor will let go any second and set the front down... Now I could have keep going with it probably for another mile, but really don't have much of an idea what to expect from a yami motor under those conditions...

Any input on this?

One mile isn't that fair...unless your doing 10+ mile long wheelies I think you don't have much to worry about.

If you are then an oil pickup would probably be a good idea to preserve engine life.

i've done prolly over 3 on my r6 a few times, but i understand how you feel.
here's one..not 3 miles, but definitely over 1 maybe 2. bumpy ass 635. if you notice it's choppy because of the bumps in the highway, not my throttle control. and when i'm bending my knees it's while i'm making turns.

I dont think its going to be the best on the bike's engine.

Look at it this way.

The star boys out of STL i know have pickups in all of their bikes because they know they will blow them.

^ They also rock long ass wheelies and gixxers which are known to have oil starvation problems.

I would run an oil pickup just for insurance and keep an eye on your oil levels. I just blew my bike up riding wheelies. I road one for mabe a mile and the bike started knocking. The shop said I would be better finding another motor to put in. Alot of it was my fault for not changing the oil in the bike and it was a little low on oil to begin with.
