ok first thing is good call on going -1 on the front sprocket that was my biggest help when i was learning wheelies... this is how i learned. first gear right about 6000-8000 rpms and then just a little pop of the clutch and the front wheel should come up. i did that for the first 6 months that i owned my bike and it tought me alot about balance and how touchy first gear is.. the nest step is second gear do the same thing in second that you have been doing in first but dropping the clutch harder to get it to come up, but still around 8k rpms. Second is not as touchy as first and once you bring up your first second gear wheelie you will never want to go back to first gear because it is way more controlable in second.
the main thing that i can say is practice in a parking lot or at a local stunt spot so that you dont get seriously injured on the street. but trust me the guys that ride mile long wheelies down the highway didnt learn that overnight... it took alot of practice and maybe some wrecked bikes to learn but it is a blast when you do get it down. so be patient and take as much advice as you can when learning to try to avoid destroying your bike. advice in person form someone that knows how to ride good wheelies is way better than any forum advice you could get.
