Default i want to start to learn slow stunting/wheelies...best starting point?

alright i can do second gear stand ups pretty consistantly now pulling it up at around 35-45 mph and riding it out up to about 85 where second gear ends or maybe 90 if i'm tappin the rev limiter. I can do second gear stand ups consistantly with my left foot on the back pegs or both feet on the back pegs( i feel a lot more comfortable with both back even tho i know i can't cover the rear brake). i can also do sit downs powering it up in first at around 25 and rid it out till close to the end of the gear which last a very short time. i know slow stunting/wheelies requires using the rear brake and i was wondering i should start practicing my second gear wheelies with my left foot back and try to start slowing the bike down a lil by feathering the rear brake... or should i just go into a parking lot or closed in area and try poppin it up in first and using the rear brake and hopin i don't flip which i feel like is very easy to do when learning slow wheelies. any pointers or suggestions for the baby steps i should take to start learning this are appreciated. thanks in advance for the help

Slow stunting you will destroy your bike trying to learn the rear brake so if you don't want that happening to your minty bike I wouldn't recommend it.

Get on a friends 50 and ride that for awhile learning the rear brake then try again on a stuntbike.

I got to where you are at then started learning 1st gear staggered stand ups in an attempt to slow eheelies down. There must have been SO many times I was convinced I was at BP. The reality was that I never knew I'd got there until I passed BP and slowed them down.

let your tire down to about 15psi (bear in mind you can't go round corners as fast) this will help stablise the bike from right to left.

good habit to develop is to press the back brak just before you hook up the front so u know for sure ur foots over it.

They key is to be smooth

good luck

Whats goin on Jon. I was thinking about picking up a little fiddy to mess around with and practice stunting and all that. Have you talked to the local stunt group here in salisbury? There's a big group of guys that prodominently just stunt. I forget what they call themselves though.

hey justin yea i haven't talked to them yet but i think the group is called Critical intentions. we might have to find some of them and let them teach us a thing or two but i'm gonna still try to find a 50 if i can.
