Front peg only standups
I an kill sit down wheelies, and would like to move to standups to make it easier to maintain BP. Problem is, I don't have rear pegs. When I standup of the front pegs to give it a shot, I feel way to far forward on the bike. Also, I am 6' tall, and it feels like I am too far above the bike to have proper control. Keep in mind, my bike has regular risers and bars, not clip-ons. Thoughts?

I'm 6" myself, and I can ride stand-ups. You just have to develop a new comfort level. Try to keep your legs straight , and lean at your waist slightly forward. It takes time to get used to it. Oh yea, my opinion don't bounce sec gear, bounce in 3rd on up. "I know alot of guys who bounce up in 2nd, it's not needed"
You could try what britishnick said also, but I'd say put your left foot on the left back peg. Its more comfortble than both up front. But it's good to master both.

It's a waste of effort, it will come up in second just fine. No bouncing neccessary,,,,

No can do, the seat is curved and shaped in a way to give me no footing...not at all like an R6 or F4i.

No rear pegs on the bike, hence the question about doing standups using ONLY the front pegs...

Not so much on an FZ1. It has an oddly long swingarm in relation to it's wheelbase. If you try and clutch first or second, the bike will spin instead of coming up. Second CAN come up on ppwer, but only at 8-9K, and the redline is 12K. The bike doesn't give me much to work with. And unlike an R6, R1's and FZ1's have gear and speed based HP limiters. I don't make full power till fourth gear.

If you've never used the rear pegs to do a standup, you won't notice the difference.
It's going to feel weird when you're learning no matter what. Just try to keep your legs AND ARMS straight.
