My new stunt bike!!!
Well heres the story, about a year ago i sold my r6 for cash, i filled out the paper work for the guy and sent him on his way with my shiny bike. Well when i received the pink slip i called this dude a few times and let him know that i needed to sign the pink over. He never bothered to return my calls so ive sat on this pink for a whole year. Then last week i got a impound notice from the local pd and found out that he never even attempted to register it in his name. So now i picked the bike up using the pink registered it back in my name and now i have a r6 once again that will now become my sweet new stunt bike... This guys is an idiot, if i paid cash for a bike i would of sure as hell got it registered and got my pink. OH WELL!!!! Yay for stupidity, cops said the bike belonged to me and he can try and settle it civilily but he dosnt have a leg to stand on!!! Oh and there is no bill of sell just so you know.

wow.. just wow. I wouldnt turn it into a stunt bike though.. I would just sell it again and put another huge junk towards the Gixxer if you still owe on it. Or there are a ton of nice parts you could buy

Im going to go half way on it, a 905 cage and 12 so i still have some ground clearnce, and its insured and registered so im going to put a 55 tooth sproket so i can still roll it around town. Its been layed over on the left side recently so it has cosmetic damage to all those fairings and i found out last night whilt riding the fan dosnt come on. I havent had time to check the fuse or see if its stuck...So ill keep you guys posted...

Might be a little off topic but this is something that has been bugging me for a while...When someone refers to a pink slip they're talking about the title to the vehicle, correct?

oh and yes the pink is the title, which has to be signed over from the origanal owner to the new owner then the new owner can request a duplicate title that is in his name(for a nominal fee of course)

It is the buyers fault for not registering the bike. Let's just say that the buyer wrecked the bike in to a Mercedes and fled the scene on foot. Who's door do you think they would be knocking on? Registering the vehicle protects the buyer and the seller.
*edit* They would also go after the seller for the impound fees since the bike is in his name.
