can the cops do this?kinda long

ok, i took out my gsxr750 ( r6 ( red of course ) got stolen BOOOOOOO )
for the first time last week. now i dont have a FULL LISCENCE like it is required to ride by yourself here in montreal but i said -hey wha can go wrong- . i got a permit, meaning i gotta ride with another person with a full liscence.

so i ride down highway 20 twoards Dorval, hit the Dorval circle and come back on the 20 heading east , back home.

exit at Ville St-pierre, go under an overpass, bike made a nice loud echo there, i thought i had a pipe but i dont, lol.

i cross the lights and see a FUCKEN COP pulling a U -turn, he must've heard me and thought i had a LOUD ass pipe or seomthing, cuz of the echo . pipes arent legal here, 136$ ticket everytime u get pulled over for a pipe that aint stock.

ok so i kind of start sweating, take a left and GUN IT SO HARD, i got two streets over, i was thinking , GET HOME AND UR SAFE, so i peel down a street, red lights at the intersection so i said FOOK IT and burn em and jett up and over a bridge. ok so im gone now, i thought cops missed me or soemthing but right down the street he turns on his lights and hes right there, i dont know how he caught up to me so fast. later on he told me he was flooring it, lol, i had a smirk, but i was shakin. ( any1 get that? when pulled over for whatever ?)

so now i got caught running a red light also, apart from not being accompanied by a rider with a full liscence.

so it was either a towing, but i kinda played it off, i told him my friend took the next exit for his house cuz i was REALLY like 1\2 mile from my house when i got pulled over.

so he took the bait, then wrote me a ticket for 400$ for not having a full liscence and riding alone AND a 136$ & 3 pts for runnin the red light.

can he give me 2 freekin tickets?!?!!? i thought no matter how many traffic violations or whatever u do, u only pay the most expensive ticket . in example ,if i ran 5 red lights then sped through a 30 zone going 60 , well id only pay the speeding fine since its the most expensive traffic violation i commited..


can this cop give me 2 tickets at once??!! one for the probationary liscence ( cant ride alone ) and one for the red light ( he was kinda far behind me and it was night BUT im sure he saw me cuz how else would he know )

I don't know about Montreal, but in CA a cop can write you many tickets all at once. I should know Also, most likely here in CA pulling a move like that would probably get the pick towed and impounded. Lucky that you got off with just some tickets.

YES!!!!!!!!!! He can give you as many tickets as he wants. You're lucky he didn't arrest you because running from the cops is a felony. He could have beat your ass like Rodney King for running from him.

LOL, he didnt think i was running, he tought i was speeding but he didnt write a ticket cuz he couldnt prove it, shit i was going 80 in a 30 after a bit, but thankfully he didnt have a radar on the dash.

Failure to Yeald to an Emergency Vehicle (the Cop)
Evading Arrest

Everything but a speeding ticket, they said they couldn't give him one cause the radar never locked i, it went from 168 back to 0, aww shucks

He got away and they showed at his job and arrested him hours later, impounded the bike that wasn't even his!

At least here in NJ they can write as many tickets as violations you commited in one traffic stop. However, the points don't rack up, so if you were caught for speeding, wreckless, going through stop signs, etc..You would only get points for the Wreckless (5 Points here in NJ), but you would have to pay the fines for ALL tickets.

I have a friend who ran from the cops and got caught, got 13 tickets, but he got a lawyer, only one of the tickets stuck, he didn't lose his license, fined $500, but the lawyer cost him $2000. You're going to pay one way or the other.

I think in Canada ( even in Quebec ) they can write you as many tickets as they like. As for my experience with Quebec police - I would've been shitting. They are not exactly known for their diplomacy. I live in Ottawa and let me tell you I'd make a run for the Ontario border faster than hell ( if I thought I could make it ) before being pulled over by another Quebec officer.

there's not much logic in saying that you only get a ticket for the worst infraction. Cause then what's the incentive to stop? you may as well say fuck it and run 100 lights (probably get killed within 1 or 2 though).

Here in MD if you get three tickets the cop can AUTOMATICALLY write you up for a forth ticket for Wreckless Driving which now carries not 5 points but 6! They are getting stiff on the points. Trust me I've had my license suspended twice for speeding back in my "Ricer" days. Now, I drive an automatic car with 35% window tint (The Legal Stuff) and stock rims. It's not worth the hassel. And I'm only 22.

yeh, u come here, the cop mentality is write up a ticket, talk later, whichi in fact gives U NO OPPORTUNITY to talk urself out of it cuz he already wrote u up. stupid but thats the way it is.

other then that, non-stock pipes ARE ILLEGAL in Montreal, if u got something REALLY quiet , u probably will get away, but that depends on the cop.
