Well this sucks
It was one of the first nice days here in Va. Was doing down the highway, almost no cars, enjoying the sun and the scenery. Just then i notice an unmarked trooper looking strait at me from the side. I always for some reason let off the gas every time i see a cop regardless of what i'm doing, and look down at my speed. 80mph+....f*ck....get pulled over, tells me that i could lose my license and he could take me to jail right now. Ended up just getting a ticket for reckless driving at 93mph. Apparently he was pacing me. It sucks cause i wasnt even tucked in, i was just going for a ride and didnt even think to look down at my speed. So i went to court last week with my lawyer. Told my case to the judge about my clean record and how i need my license to get to and from work. The good news is i not going to jail, he made sure i knew that because at the speed i was going, he usually puts ppl in for at least the weekend. So i ended up getting reckless driving by speed which is a misdemeanor, $200 court fine, Va civil fee of $1050(its in the Va courts right now getting appealed), 90 days restricted license, plus court cost.
So i will be missing the first part of the riding season this year. So guys, when you are out and about. please make sure you pay attention to everything around you, including yer speedometer, regardless if you think you are just cruising along. Dont end up like me.
