LOL... with tickets, court fees, and impounding, and resulting insurance rates that could EASILY cost you more than your BIKE for just crusing at like 130 you cheap out on a radar detector?? escort or valentine are $400 but are the only ones worth spending money on. i've had them all and trust me the $150 detector only saves you money on the tickets... it doesnt prevent them like the $400 ones do

Cool

Well i tried the whistler 78 with c and it works very good on KA radar, the $400 detecters may have a little more range. Its doubtfull a radar detecter would work going that fast 130mph. I would not be apt to go much over a 100 because it s too scary for me. i do think 80mph is reasonable, but unless you tried the 78 - you don't know enoth to say its a peice of crap just because its cheaper, a lot of people have tried the 78 and like it

I had the 78 before i gave it to my brother. i found it only helpful when a cop was in visual range at which point my eyes picked it up faster than my ears. i find it hard to keep it under 130, lol. thats about where my helmet starts to get wind resistance but i think my pack and i usually cruise around 140-150 on the highways.
