Driving without a motorcycle license? Consequences?

I am from Canada and am chilling in California for a month or two and am riding my friends bike here a bit. Don't have a learners permit to ride a bike and won't be able to get one until I go back to Canada. Anyone know whats the worst and whats likely to happen if I get stopped by a cop here?

I studied the handbook left and right and am ready to pass the test but just don't have access to taking it.

Also, do R6's get pulled over a lot in California just to annoy the riders or only usually if they are going to fast/driving stupid?

Any suggestions?

not too sure about california, but here in virginia, cops can impound the bike and take you to jail.

any reason you can't get a learners permit? I'm no expert in international junk, but there's no test involved in getting your motorcycle temps. At least not in Ohio.

Well I can't get a US lic because I don't have a SIN. Do they usually enforce these things fully? Impound and arrest? Or does it depend on the cop? I mean I expect he'll just let me off with a warning

i really doubt they'll just let you off with a warning if you have no license. do you have a canadian motorcycle license?

I would have thought no licence means no insurance either.
