Most B.S. ticket I've ever heard of in my life...

I got a bullshit ticket on the way to work today. It's like 80 degrees outside and I'm in full gear, i.e., jacket, boots, pants, gloves, helmet. I'm on this road where the speed limit is 30 mph and I had been riding for an hour.

So I lift my (tinted) visor up to scratch my forehead and as I'm doing that, I look over to see an unmarked cop car sitting on a side street. Sure as shit, I pass, here he comes right behind me.

He lights me up, asks to see my paperwork, and tells me I was riding without eye protection! Then he gives me a little lecture and comes back with a $25 ticket!

Funny, I pass at least a dozen dumbass kids riding in shorts, tank tops, no helmet, sandals, but they have sunglasses on and I get the ticket!

What a joke...needed to vent on the basis of pure stupidity of the situation...

I'd sure as hell fight it! Tell the judge about wearing your helmet and that you had to lift it up cuz a bug got in it and your getting it out. He'll/She'll throw it out.

do you guys that want to fight tickets realize how much cort costs are?
you could be looking at over $130 plus the fine if they don't drop it. plus time off work etc...
going to court is a huge waste of time in this instance. its only a $25 fine.

There are no court costs. It's a public court system and they served the ticket. It's a citizen's right. Even those that I went to court for and lost I never had to pay an extra dime. I'd say fight it.

It's a shitty ticket, but just pay it. Court costs can be higher than the ticket. I've fought tickets, but only if it would result in points. However, I have paid $100 court cost for one ticket without ever stepping foot in the court. My attorney worked it out with the traffic DAs.

They always want $$$. $25 bucks is a slam dunk. Sucks, but that's life.

i got a ticket for having no front plates on my R6 and i lost in court for it too...
