Default Wreckless what should I expect?

Citrus Heights, CA Ok, first off I admit I was a dumbass for driving the speed I was going, and no excuse for it. I was trying to make it time for work. I got pulled over this morning and the cop got me for on the ticket says 100+ in a 65 in Wreckless driving. "traffic" (my lane was completely clear and it really wasn't that much traffic, but I really didn't want to argue and get my bike impounded and taken to jail) What should I expect to pay here for Placer County California? How many points? Can I take any kind of schooling to get points reduced? How much you think I will have to pay for the ticket, and will my license get suspended? I'm 24 ( old enough to know better than to drive like a dumbshit) I havn't had any violations for atleast five years, insured, licensed. Should I fight it, or any ideas would help!!!

Thanks.

i was under the impression that a 100+ would cost you your license automatically, so consider yourself lucky.

do a trial by written declaration. you have nothing to lose.

edit: do a search in the CA section. you ain't the first with this problem

Thanks I tried finding out what I could find. I have a question my ticket says under "code and section" 23103 (a) VC- reckless driving, it also says below in the mph field 100+ in a 65MPH zone, does this mean I'm being charged with two separate violations? There was not a separate code number listed on the ticket that I could see. I was lane changing, but I was using my blinker (habbit) so shouldn't it be one or the other? faaaaaaawk

I have received a reckless driving before for riding wheelies in a parking lot. I'm in Michigan, but I wouldn't think that it would be much different in Cali. You HAVE to fight it if you want to keep your license and not go to jail. If you plea guilty to a reckless driving in Michigan, then you automatically lose your license and face up to I think 30 days in jail.

Plea not guilty and fight it in court. I used the court appointed lawyer and had it reduced to careless, which is still 3 points in Michigan. If I had the time, I would have requested a formal trial and fought to reduce it lower, but I didn't want to miss time off of work. Anyway, you need to fight this.
