Yeah for SURE the pilot has to show up, hearsay evidence is a no-no
They could probably talk their way around the guy who wrote the ticket being missing though, since he wouldn't have any testimony to give (unless you admitted speeding to him).
Definitely take it to court; they make money off the people that are too lazy/ignorant to fight the tickets

Any idea of estimated month/year? I could check mine.
I'm guessing they covered things like how accurate it is... people (mistakenly) think that because it's a stopwatch, it's a lot more inaccurate than radar and thus easier to fight. I'd still be interested in taking a look.

I know that they do that... but I have never heard of someone actually getting ticketed. They are getting too sneaky around here!

thank you for the info about the pilot having to show up. i may do that, not too sure at this point. i am looking to see if there is a law about the cop must be in sight, or must be able to be seen in order to clock you and ticket someone. if there is a law about that then i just can say i didnt see him, i was paying attention to the road, like i should be doing, not looking in the air. when the cop asked me how fast i was going, i just told him i didnt know, i was going with the flow of the other 2 cars. i did have my cruse set on at 81 i know that. he said it was 83, but i know that when you get up in speeds the speed shown will actually be faster than what you are doing. the error of the tracker is the same, just becomes a larger amount. so i know they were wrong with the speeds. i do have a good friend i went to high school in law school here at OSU so i may contact him and see if he knows something, or where i could look. any other info from you guys is great, keep them coming.
the info i need the most is, does an officer need to be in sight of the speeder in order to track and give a ticket????

well a little update. i have not really found any other info, other than that kid that got 108 with the airplane. which seems to be a lock tight case. the only info i really did find is from cali. this is also from the that police forum.
