Cop car limits

Do all or most cop cars have a governor that kicks in at like 120 or faster? if so how fast can an officer go?

Obviously the radio goes really quick I just want to know about their cars

My friend used to be a city cop and he said that their crown vics are all stock with the exception of police equipment and those weird back seats. But under the hood they were stock according to him.

most police cars are "stock". but depending on the budget and the needs for the car... they may have opted for different factory police packages

I have seen several Dodge Chargers and Magnums. Yeah, with Hemis. 400hp Hemis.

Its obviously not much of a match for bike with a good rider but no matter how fast or slow, i'm no fan of running.

in my state i know the guy that pulled over my friend was an undercover state patrol and his charger only has a v6 but he said itd do 145

Well I know that statey cars will do 130+ around here without too much of a problem.

An Altima V6 will do 145..

my old SVT contour witha 2.5 V6 would do 155....

The chargers the state police have here are 6's also.

They will go as fast as the engine will go. the only ones that are limited are the "special" police package tahoes. But dont think all tahoes are limited to 96MPH most tahoes are the pursuit package and will do 150+
