Kind of funny but odd that you're baiting people to flame you around here. Also are we going to start seeing people say the R6"S" is a good first bike when back in 03-04 this board would have jumped on the first newb even though it's pretty much the same bike?

hey check it out. ive been a bike enthusiast for a couple of years. i finally just got my brand new bike a week ago. it was a 06 r6s. keep in mind that i have never been on any kind of bike before. i picked up the bike from berts unloaded and rode my bike around and this is with now experience. i recently got my permit and started riding everywhre. dont let anyone discourage you from what you want. but remember, the seat not that far from the ground and the helmet can only protect you so much

IMO,

TAKE THE MSF CLASS ALWAYS
-its like 160 here, and 200 in cali is whut u guys are sayin. I would put money down that every person who took the msf class before they started riding saved their own ass at least once because of good habits they taught you. If you think 200 is too much for a class to learn how to ride beter (using somebody elses bikes :thumbsup) then you do not have enough money to properly maintane a bike. The 6 is expensive.

-If you have the money and the balls to do it, go ahead and get a r6 for your 1st bike, but you might as well go ahead and get an r1. IMO it is safer to get an r1 as your first bike, because you will have to respect the throttle. On the r6 you might get cocky cuz you think she doesnt have much (but she does).

I took the MSF about a month ago...it was alright, if you have never been on a bike before...i was kinda bored..But it did help me to get out of some bad habits that i didnt know i had. I would recommend taking it, plus insurance companies look at that and sometimes give you a break. Just my

Also, should I REALLY take MSF? I don't want to spend the money if I'm going to learn as I start going through the twisties anyway.
5 magic letters = t-r-o-l-l

and I see you admitted you were baiting members

anyway I disagree that MSF is a waste...it has saved my LIFE many times
