Default Almax Chain

Hi everyone. Does anybody know if Almax chains are available in the U.S.? From my research, it appears this is the only chain that is not croppable. I need security for my bike, and this is obviously appealing. I just don't want to pay an arm and a leg to get it over to me from the UK. Thanks for any help.

I've been looking into that myself last year. No luck. I emailed the seller in the U.K for the price of the 6' Immobiliser III with the CISA lock and she quoted me $316.60 shipped to the U.S.
Since I ride and not make any stops and leave my bike unattended, I didn't see the need for one yet.
Maybe after my cousin gets a bike, then this is the chain I'm definitely getting.

Hey Taos, I have a quick question. Would you mind sending me a link of the product that you asked Almax about? I don't think I need a 6' chain. Was it just the chain, or did it come with a padlock, ground anchor, or anything else? Thanks.

Here's what Maxine said last year.

"The 2m Immobiliser Series III & CISA 28550-67 Lock would be UKP 119.11 The shipping to your door (Excl Local Duties & Taxes) UKP 47.50
Total Cost UKP 166.61 which is around USD316.60. We would charge you in Sterling
Hope that this helps. The transit time is 1-4 days 80% are delivered the following day"
Regards
Maxine

Here's the link. It's the 2nd one with the lock.

Don't bother, I got a ALMAX chain while I was in the UK, it is so heavy of course its strong its a chain from a ship, so I lost my key to the Xena lock that I got in France. XUL-102 The lock-smith tried the lock for over 30 minutes no luck, he borrowed a sledge hammer from a construction site and broke the chain with only 2 strikes.
what a waist of $250.00

Damn. Sorry to hear about your misfortune. I never heard anyone breaking a chain with a sledge hammer. I still like the chain because it's not easy to crop. If I should get one, I'll remember to lock it up real tight so it's not easy to lay the chain on the ground for someone with a sledge hammer to pound on it.
