Default ok so maybe its not my tire????

I had been having a problem with my rear tire sliding when I would go hard over in a high speed turn. I thought it was due to my new/almost new tire. Tonight on my way home I took a curve hard over but this time I slid my butt off the seat first. Smooth as daisies I went. Could me not sliding my rear end off the seat make my rear tire wanna slide???

If you're not transfering weight, sure.

Sounds more like you were using more lean angle than you needed, and running out of traction, though.

The further you hang your weight off of the bike, the less you have to lean. The less you have to lean, the more contact patch that you have.

It very well could be weight distribution. What kind of tires are they again?

That could be a bit of your problem right there... The 208s were, in my experience, difficult to get heat into, and rather slippery until they were hot. Were your tires warm when you got the slipping?

Try softening the rear compression. I had the same problem when I got my 05. Espeacially important if your a featherweight
