Default Shifting to neutral during a stop

Hey,

I know you should stay in gear when at a street light just in case you need to make a quick getaway. Once a car is behind me though, I want to shift the bike into neutral to rest my hand. For some reason, the clutch on my bike is really stiff so my hand gets tired after a while. However, its almost impossible for me to find neutral. It usually keeps skipping it and goes straight to 2nd and vice versa straight to 1st. I can hit neutral when I'm coasting to a stop sometimes but thats even tricky. Any suggestions to help me out? I feel weird having to shut off the bike and hit neutral then restarting at times. Thanks...

How long have you been riding? It really is just a light tap and it should go right into neutral.

check that your clutch lever adjustment isn't too loose ... if you are not quite fully disengaging the clutch it can be tough to get it into neutral

^^ first check that.
On my old 00R6 I never used to have a problem to find neutral.

On my brother's Aprilia RSV Mille it is sometimes difficult to find N especially when the engine is still cold. I find it helps if I push the bike a little bit forward with my other leg and while doing that try and shift into N. That usually does the trick on the Mille.

ok seriously, i'm not messing around. i'm having trouble finding neutral from a stop so i asked a question about it. isn't that what a forum is for? i never asked if there was a neutral jackass. instead of trying to add a post to your count, try to offer advice or don't bother at all.

I always shift to neutral at stop lights to, but i am in neutral before i even come to a stop, most of the time.

All it take is a really takes is a very light tap from 2nd or 1st.
