Default Dragging Pegs = ??

I have an 04 r6 and I have been scraping the pegs recently after I put on my pilot powers. My question is, is this normal? Someone said my suspension could be setup wrong, but i never messed with it. Any ideas? Anyone else 03-05 r6's scrape their pegs? Or am i just getting to low...lol

Sounds like thats what you need to do! Your frt preload is probley way to low which lets the forks comperess more than they should, a couple clicks on the comp damp aswell. As you get faster parts will drag that way they make aftermarket rearsets that move the pegs up. You probley need to get your ass off the seat more to keep the bike a little more upright too.

Yeah get your ass off the side of the seat, and don't push the bike down so much. Hang yourself off the bike more and let the bike be more upright to maintain better traction. If you're draggin hard parts, you're doin something wrong. Oh and yeah get your suspension tuned up. WHat do you weigh, what's your current suspension setup?

You guys are right. I do need to work on my body position. Im pushing the bike under me...as you can see from this picture. I weigh 140 lbs and I have never messed with the suspension.

You need to get off the bike!!!! That will probably fix the problem, without even adjusting the suspension. Unless that's a trick of photography, your ass is still pretty much planted dead centre on your seat. Get at least one cheek off and try and kiss the mirror!!

Good luck

in this photo, see how my ass is all the way off, exaggerate so you get a feel for it. but also notice how my back is crossed up, thats because my head isn't where my mirrors were

here's a better photo with my head in place (even though it could be further), my ass off, and my spine is parallel with teh bike
