As stated above, put that bike in gear. Unlike driver's ed, I don't recall MSF saying anything about parking bikes on hills. I have a pretty good incline leading up to the garage and when washing bikes in the past, that's what I did.

Face the front of your bike straight up the hill, turn your clip ons all the way to the left, lock up the triple, and put the bike on the kick stand. I don't leave my bike in gear.

Always leave my bike in gear. Shut it down, push it forward until the slack is out of the trans, put it on kickstand.

This prevents the bike from being able to roll off the stand, and is a much more secure way of leaving it.

MSF said to put it in first and lock your stearing, they said first gear was the same as park in your car

Not sure how steep all of your hills are, but.... If I'm on a pretty steep hill, I point the bike straight up the hill and then point the front of the bike to the left slightly. Since the side-stand is on the left, this increases the lean of the bike a little (and I think R6's stand more upright than some of my friends' bikes). The main idea is that you do not want to point the front of the bike to the right, causing the bike to stand more upright.

I ALWAYS park my bike in gear, hill or not.
