Default Anyone ever get pain in their wrists?

got my 6 and rode around few months with no probs. havnt crashed my bike to injure any part of my body but problem started around 3 weeks ago where i feel pain in my wrist around yellow circle in picture whenever i flex my thumb back or try to use strength with my thumb or even when i push against it it hurts a lot.. cant use any power at all. i am guessing that before the 3 weeks i used to only brake with 2 fingers closest to my thumb to brake but after comming back from advance riding course a month ago they recommend to use all 4 on the street reason being that i get a better feel and can get more out of the brakes so i changed my habbit and used 4, so i'm wondering if that is the reason leading to the pain i do a lot of city riding everyday so i brake a lot, has anyone ever have pain in the same area? why? and how did u guys treat it? cause it's extremely painful >_<"

I think you are putting too much weight into your arms and hands. Try using your back, abs, and legs more to keep up your posture. I had the same thing when I started riding a long time ago.

normal case of death-grip-osis. don't grip the bars so damn hard. don't lean forward constantly. use other body parts. you can figure it out. create your own riding style that makes you comfortable.

Yeah hug the tank a bit more with your legs, and that will help to support your upper body... Try to concentrate on how you can really just set your hands on the bars, you hardly have to squeeze at all, once you realize this, and become used to it, you'll loosen your grip and you won't tire so fast and get sore, as you do when your tensed up all the time..

Add another death grip/too much weight on hands. After my BRC I am so much better. They did tell me to use four fingers as well, but I still use two or three.
Dirt habits die hard. My wrists still hurt, but I have some tendonitis problems. If I don't do it every day, things get bad. I have to flex like I ride during the day even if I don't to keep things limber.

On with the Motrin.

Man I sound old.

isn't it really hard to rev match your downshifts if you have all 4 fingers on the brake? I used to use 4 but switched to 2 so I could downshift while braking.

I am embarrassed to be part of this forum, becuse nobody did the obvious.

Other than that, yes. Synch the carbs/balance the TB's, put stock bar end weights back on, and lose the deathgrip on the bars.

I usually get the cramping wrist on 100+ mile rides straight.
