Default Suspension setup

Finally dabbled with my suspension setup this weekend. Went from the stock settings to the settings recommended by sportrider.com. Damn!! What a difference. It's like two different bikes. The thing just rails now!! Little stiffer on the interstate and in town, but really worth it in the corners. I heavily recommend it to everyone.

Ive been using there settings(6/03) for awhile now on my 03, I like it, the only thing I changed was the rear rebound I backed it off a couple clicks.

I've been useing the 2005 sugestion for a while now. I weigh 170lbs, its great. I think it actually feels a little bit softer though, or maybe I just feel more conected to the road.

for the roads I ride the stock setting are just about right. everything is just one click harder. and front sag is at 6 lines showing. rear is fuck I cant remember. oh well. those settings cant work for everyone or road conditions.
when I set mine like theirs the bike bounced over bumps too much for my taste.

I just set the sag up on my bike. My front fully decrompressed was 127mm and with me on it in a riding position it was like 88mm. So I adjusted it to around 98-99mm on the front. now I just have to get the rebound and compression setup right.

I had a guy look at it before i did all this and he showed me how bad mine was off. it was sick. i can't wait to go hit the twisties now that it is setup more correctly.

Everyone likes it different. Also depends on the riding you do. For just cruising around, mine are stiff as hell. But when I hit the canyons and the twisties, it settles in perfectly. Rebound is pretty sharp.
