Default Leaning to the left

the other day i took both of my hands of the bars and i had to lean a good bit to the left to keep the bike from leaning to the right. at first i thought it was the road, so i did it on many roads with the same results. its werd i dont really notice it leaning when my hands are on the bars. it is an 05 r6 with about 4300 miles. it has been dropped once, but it was when i first got it and it was dropped very easy. anyone know what it is? is there some kind of alignment that can be done?

It is probably out of alignment... On my dirtbikes this happend a lot (because I was on the ground more the on two wheels) but what I would do was loosen the triples enough, but not enough so they would slide and spin the tire as fast as I could and then nail the front brakes. Do this 3-4 times and you should be good. I haven't done it on a street bike, but its worth a try.

miss alignment is usually a sign of tweaked forks...but could be something else...have you busted a fork seal?

It may be the crown built into most roads for drainage. The center divider is higher then the outside near the curbs in both directions. Cars also pull to the right because of this...

It also effects the camber in turns differently depending on the direction of the corner you are in.

fork seals are good. on the note of the forks being tweaked, how could they get tweaked? hitting a bump in the road? i have only done a few wheelies so i dont think that is the problem.

Forks being tweaked isn't the problem usually.

Honestly, the problem is usually that the rear wheel isn't straight. Break out teh string and check it!

Pulling to one side is interesting to troubleshoot. After the wheels are aligned, try riding on the wrong side of the road. The crown of the road makes a difference too! But forks being twisted are totally possible too.

the string? my swing arm has marks on it to check it....usually if the rear wheel isnt straight you will get a clicking noise during stop or unusally more braking during stopping due to the back wheel and chain being binded..
