If you do anything fast, get a steering damper.
Here's a good definition:
tankslapper- a rapid, high intensity oscillation of the handlebars (literally, slapping the tank side to side). It is a condition of dynamic instability, such as hard acceleration out of a bumpy corner. Classic case would be the rider landing a botched wheelie with the handlebar/front tire turned instead of straight and square.
Worst thing you can do is to fight it. Maintain a relaxed grip on the handle bars, and should work itself out. I recommend throttling out to lighten the load on the front and squaring up the front end. It happened to me on a overpass, passing a car and hitting a reflector. Just kept the gas pinned, and front basically just wobbled slightly and stopped.
Edit: Always check your steering bearings, below the crown of the triple is always tighten to spec. Loose bearings is a major contributor to tanks slappers.
