Default give me some tips please i'm a noob.

okay first off i took the msf class. fun ,learned a lot.now i have been riding about a week. layed the bike down once. no biggy just couple scratches on the stator cover. this was 1 mph around a 90 tight. the bike just simply fell over and i caught it with my left leg. and held it as long as i could and just slowly rest it on the cover til i got help

okay i have about 300 miles in experience. any i mean any type of tip will help me a lot, and i wiill appreciate every bit of it. so don't be afraid to give it to me straight

okay i'm 5'2' 105 lbs MALE, OKAY YES I'M SMALL AS FCUK. i can only put one foot down at the light, i have shaved the seat down plenty almost to frame.
whenever i get on the bike, i feel very intimidated. i'm afraid i will some how drop it or get in a crash. whenever i stop at a light i feel unccomfortable. like slowing to a stop i put my left leg down and fight for balance a bit. any tip on how i can stop better. i do leave a lot of room for stopping. also like when i move the bike jus just going from bumper to bumper in traffic i feel unbalance like i will lay the bike down. i try to square the wheel out and much as possible.

also on tight 90 going 1-5 mph i can't seem to get the bike going where i want it to. i find myself turning the wheel to much and puttng too much weight on one side and having to stop and hold the bike up. as in alleys are the same way. i simply am just turning the wheel too much, AM I NOT COUNTERWEIGHTING enough?

I THINK i will have to drop the bike about 2 iches even though a lot have told me not to and just simply get use to it. but i feel uneasy about it right now and it killing my excitement to ride and desire to ride.

i'm a pussy just help me grow some balls

people on this board are VERY anti-lowering of the bikes. me, i'm 5'4 140 the previous owner made a custom bracket that looks exactly like the factory triangle bracket, but with 2 holes to lower the bike. currently my bike is lowered 1 inch and i have absolutely no problem riding or taking curves with the bike lowered.

i'm a noob as well with 3600 miles under my belt. dropped my bike JUST like you except i also dropped it on the other side trying to picking it up quickly hahahah. lower the bike to see if you feel more comfortable, its not dangerous.

if your that intimidated by the bike, there really is no way you should be out in traffic on the bike, get to a large open parking lot and practice, practice, practice.

I have to agree........go to an empty parking lot and just practice, practice, practice. Starting, stopping, slow turns, 180s, figure eights, etc. i too had a lot of trouble with the slow turns. The book Proficient Motorcycling really helped me out. It does a great job discussing the use of countersteering and shifting your weight during slow turns.

get frame sliders installed.

If you dont know what they are they are bolts connected to the side of the frame that have big plastic things around it. So if you drop the bike for slide the bike the plastic will keep the bikes weight from cracking the fairing.

First and greatest piece of advice...Carefully weigh each piece of advice and think it through because some people talk out of their ass and have no clue.

First off, I wouldn't hate on you for lowering the bike, yes it has disadvantages and you should look into all of these.

Second, Don't feel bad I've been riding 12k miles been to Deals Gap and the track and my R6 still intimidates me at times. It's more healthy level's of respect then fear.

Third, take the time to practice out of traffic it doesn't have to be in a parking lot but it's much safer considering you have a clear line of sight for the entire lot.

Finally, wear your gear and get frame sliders. I used to hate wearing gear, then I finally listened to a few guys and started wearing it and bought my frame sliders...And they really saved my bike quite a lot of damage when I went ditch inspecting.
