yea id say 100+ the whole way will end you up in an accident from fatigue or in jail/court from a ticket, but should be a fun ride. dont really know much about that area of the country. id say if youre also going back to FL then you should change your oil before you leave, otherwise youll just have to change it when you get there, regardless of whether or not your going back to FL.

No I am not comeing back to FL. yeah I know about the fatigue...but what I am saying as long as its not in red line going over 100+ won't hurt the bike right?

Shouldn't hurt at all, just watch Alabama, Louisiana and Texas troopers. I would imagine your going to get stopped at least once on the way over just out of curiosity. By the way where are you headed to in Texas.

Forget the last part I didn't read the whole thing it's late.

hope you have a good trip. i did a trip like that on my R6. i knew i would have that many places to stop cause i live in the desert. so i had a tank bag with water and a couple snacks just in case and to stay hydrated.
clean and lube your chain before you go. check your tire presure make sure it's good cause being on the road that long will build up a lot of heat and can kill an improporly inflated tire.
get some sleep and have fun. i was getting over 200 on a tank cruisin 80-85.

I did 1200 miles in 4 days on my 6 this summer. It was just fine. I was a bit sore one thing i would tell you to get is a double bouble windshield and a tank bag to rest your chest on. Those things are worth there weight in gold on a long trip

Watch the Cops on I-10. They're everywhere with 0 tolerance. Keep it within 5-10mph of the posted limit and you should be fine.

Suggestions for check list:
1 - Oil Change
2 - Tire pressure (bring a tire pressure guage)
3 - Radar detector (if your doing 100 mph)
4 - Tank bag (map, cell phone, drinks, snacks) / Side bags for others (clothing)
5 - ICE In Case of Emergency (Contacts)
6 - Rain gear
7 - Coordinate places where your staying.
8- Money
9 - Ride Safe!!!

Sounds like fun and you've got plenty of time to do that 900 miles in 5 days or so. Lot of good suggestions have already been said. Ride safe, make plenty of stops to stretch out, and take plenty of pictures I wish I had time to make a long ride like that.
