Default Thoughts on Nightriding

Well this is my first bike, love it. =) Every since i first got the bike reps from the dealer ships told me to try not to ride at night since its dangerous. And i realize it is. I mean its dangerous enough during the day with ignorant drivers and the "street" factor.

But maybe its the hot summer days but i really enjoy taking a spin at night. I never push it or try anything. Just a leisurely (as leisurely as you can get on an R6 ) ride. The cool night air breezing through my ventilated leather and just watching the R6's projector as i turn an lean is enough entertainment for a long time . And at night post 10pm the traffic is much less except downtowns and the likes. (im from north seattle) Now i am not close to any twisties so i cant speak on that but i really like just crusing around at night.... anyone else?

All my buddies ride almost exclusively at night during the summer. Last night we met at 10 and I didnt get home until 3am, lol. Just take it easy and stay in the city so you dont hit any critters.

I prefer the night. More dangerous at night??? That's a myth. Its most likely more dangerous in the day time since their is a lot of traffic. On the downside, most people tend to drink at night. But I dont have any actual stats, but im sure they coudl be found.

Night time is not bad, in fact a love going to bike nights, and love to watch the stunting. Hittting the canyons at night is probably more dangerous, especially if you are not familiar with the turns.

your a funny kid, but im with you i love going riding at nite, riding during the day and sweating sucks, especially in the 118 deg. weather we have had for the last 2 weeks, PLUS the Humidity is at like 60-75 Percent, you should come down here for a summer, and you would LOVE to ride in 80-85, deg

i honestly like 90-97 deg days, doesnt bother me at alll
it gets down to 60 or so in the winter and thats DAMN COLD!

Oh yeah. and i live in Yuma, Az. right in the corner by Arizona, Cali. and Mexico

Sometimes I actually like the night ride. You get most of the highway to yourself since there's less traffic. The downside, its hard to see those state troopers when there hiding in the shadows.

haha yea at 60 or under it gets real chilly with the windchill and etc... ill have to see what fall brings me.... but i think when it get chilly all i need is a a thin'ish turtle neck or sports sweater, its thin but fairly warm like a liner...

but the problem is my gloves, then vent pretty good so on a cold day they get chilly... ill have to find some warmer gloves...
