Default Freeway wheel lift...scary!!

Ok, it wasn't a real wheelie, the wheel only came up (what felt like) a few inches, but it was definitely off the ground cuz the handbars were movin free as could be.

It happened when a couple guys kept makin me nervous as they would pull their car up next to me in the next lane over and jock back and forth liek they wanted to race, and then they started inching toward the lane line and getting way too close for comfort. So, cruisin at 75 or so, I shifted down from 6th to 3rd, revved high and dropped the clutch. Bike jumped forward like a frog on crack and the front end got light and I could feel the handlebars bouncing around against the lil rises in the concrete.

It's nice knowing I have more than enough power to avoid risky drivers, but it's kinda scary knowing that my R6 will do a 75mph rolling wheelie without much effort...heh

damn from 6th gear to 3rd gear at 75 mph. yeah, that will do that. just be careful. I just switch lanes and open her up if I really get fed up with the sutpid cagers that wants to race or bother me. just be careful downshifting and rev it up so then to let go of the clutch like that.

why would you go from 6th to 3rd and then rev it up and dump the clutch?

^^^^ Yes it is. Hey man, don't take this the wrong way, please. Looks like you started off with the R6 as your first bike, I can give you some tips on how sh*t like that won't happen to you, unless you want it to. PM me if you wanna learn how to ride. I'm also in SD and I've been riding for a while on those freeways.

I'm suprised you had any RPM band left dropping that many gears. Just yesterday I ran out 4th and forgetting I just set up GP shift I shifted down into 3rd instead of shifting up to 5th. When I let the clutch out the bike screamed and the rear tire got real squirrely and made the worst sound.

yeah 75mph in 3rd gear is right at the speed i do my 3rd gear clutch ups

3rd gear is great since it comes up slow and its pretty cool when you get into the tripple digits on one wheel
