dont try to keep up with them...ride within your limits. Riding outside your limits and trying to keep up with them would make you a squid, your not a squid for riding within your limits and hangin back!

sounds like the guys you meet at Sonic are the Squids. To me doing triple ###s on the Highway with a big group of riders is squidly.

thats the reason i dont like to ride with people i dont know. i dont like 'fast paced' groups. ill stick to the speed limit.

First off, there is no skill involved with going down a straight stretch of highway at speeds
over 100+ MPH. Second, like others have already told you, ride at your own pace. There are probably other riders in a group that large that are closer to your skill level. If you try and
push yourself then you will be posting in the "Crashed" forum. Third, If your idea of fun is
just shooting down the highway at 100+ MPH, then sell the R6 and get yourself a hyabusa.

Dude, do not worry about it. You do not have to prove anything to anyone by trying to race with the pack much less stay in the front. You have more or less summed up how it is when I ride out here with the guys I know. They are all hell bent on pushing 180+.. all I need to do is remind myself what ground beef looks like and the thought of excessive speeds like that vanishes. Get there when you get there bro.
