Default long trip with passenger

im planning on riding up to the summer bike fest in carlisle, pa this weekend, and ill be bringing my girlfriend along. the trip is about an hour, mostly on the highway. my problem is, every time i ride with her, my arms get extremely tired. i tend to sit too far forward on the bike, and when she is on the rear seat, there is a pretty large gap between us. also, when i brake, she ends up sliding forward and putting even more pressure on my wrists. what is the correct riding posture for long trips with a passenger? she is a pretty tiny girl, so she tends to slip around alot when i ride with her on the back. is there a way to correct that too?

...well, you could tell her to follow you to the bike fest in her car and then hop on your bike when you get there.

When you brake, tell her to put her hands on the tank to keep the pressure off you.

On highway riding, my girl would just put her arms around my waist and lay on my back with her head over my shoulder... but after one trip, she won't ride on the back of a sportsbike. She says its too uncomfortable for any amount of distance or long rdes.

I still say get her to follow you to the event, unless she's just a diehard passenger.

EDIT:

...oh, stting forward, up against the tank is a good thing. Using more stomach muscle rather than your arms to hold you up will help take pressure off your wrists.

yea, definetly tell her to put her hands on the tank when you are slowing down. and hopefully she knows too lean with you when you go around corners.
