Default Long distance commute

I just wanted to hear everyones input on long distance commuting or long distance trips. What is the farthest anyone has ever rode? Do you take long trips often. I'm just wondering because I am about to be commuting 35 miles each way to school every day. Any tips or suggestions would be cool too.

<<<wtf is this thing by the way???

The farthest ive gone in one ride was about 365 miles. My ass was sore, and my neck was too from the wind. also, i ate a shit load of bugs. anyway, it was still fun though. 35 miles aint bad at all.

I commute around 25mi to work 5 days a week. When I first started commuting with my 6 my arse was sore, but you get used to it. A 35mi commute should be no diferent. In fact, I like my commute because it gives me 40mins riding time every single day. I live in SoCal though, so weather is hardly ever an issue.

I've got about a 33 mile ride to work every day. It's not bad, it's all freeway, so I just throw on my iPod and go. The worst part is the heat. I'm in Phoenix, and when I got off tonight at 7, it was still 107.
As far as long rides, I rode from SLC to Vegas and back. It's about 430 miles each way. It was pretty rough. I'd do it again, but not by myself.

Default ~70 miles(roundtrip) to & from work

S.V. to Hollywood then to some studios (Did that for 5 years. Showing off the R6 to the studio crowds.) Really miss offering to deliver small items to our clients and having the company pay for my gas & mileage Good thing they did not know I'd do it for free

80 miles a day round trip. Check the riding tips section, I think there are some threads about commuting and such that have some good tips.
