Default Riding Two-up

Couple of days back my friend asked for a ride and at the
end of the ride she complained that the passenger seat is
too far back & uncomfortable and it would have been better
if she could sit with on the rider seat.

Apparently she thought there was enough room for her too
in the rider seat.

Well I am only 5'8" 130lb with a 28" waist.

Yes make her beg for it. cause your balls will hurt way too much after the ride to take advantage of the situation. Unless both you and here are in a competition for the heroine-chic-model look you won't both fit in there without causing you a lot of pain

You may both fit, but it will be painful. You will be completely pressed up against the tank. Just imagine hitting a bump in the road :\

Where would her feet go? I agree with the rest. Your nuts will get repeatedly smashed against the tank.

I read a while back about some guys doin this. Saying that when they were going throught the twisties it allowed them to be a little more aggressive. Good question on where her feet go, that be odd to stretch them back to the pass. pegs

Their feet seem to work right where they are supposed to go. They just end up being in a more layed out position much like when we put adjustable rear sets on the bike. That also increases the weight they put on you just like it does with your arms. all in all it is NOT a comfortable thing. If I want to feel more connected to the passenger for more agressive riding I jsut tell them to hold on tight, or get off and get in bed

Have her put her hands on the tank, kinda where the bulge over the knee cut outs ends near the back of the tank. Much more stable for them and easier for you because you don't have to support their weight when braking, etc.

You guys: the r6 is not really the best bike for two up, as I guess it becomes evident. Get a bandit 12!!!!!!!

I love riding two up and going fast, but I wont even give my GF a ride on the R6, in order to go fast you need to change the suspension. Any bike set up for one rider is not set up any more when the weight doubles. Period.

My Bandit 12 has a heavier shock spring, aftermarket shock, heavier fork springs (.95 race tech) and is set up for two up. It works great. It just is not much fun to ride two up on a bike set up for one.

Anybody see the pic of Rapp at DRA draggin' a knee with a passenger on the bike? I think the pic was in Cycle World or Motorcyclist.

Thats what I'd like to be able to do with a passenger ;) . They'd jump RIGHT in the sack with ya after that ;)
