Default Front end getting light

I notice that when I whack the throttle open in first gear the front end gets light and steering becomes uncertain. Is this due to the poor tires I am using? I have a used set of D207s with 9000 miles on them but they still have some tread left on the sides.
I hate to waste my money on tires when I am saving up for the blue neon lights.

it isn't your tires. it's the power... you're almost wheelie-ing it...

Yea either get the bike into a wheelie or don't give it as much throttle

The key word you used was "whack." If you whack it (pun intended) it's gonna go loose on ya (pun intended). Ease into it.

well... if it was a joke, good for him, he got me. but english is not my native language.

on a second hand, i see many people driving around with worn out tires/brakes, leaking oil from shocks/engine... just because 'i need to buy this cool thing' or 'i look cool anyway'
