U did the right thing. Who knows what people may be carrying in their cars nowadays. He could've had a gun. Is it really worth fighting over nothing? If you stopped and kicked his ass, he probably would have learned his lesson but there are others out there just like him. I learned to avoid people like him whenever possible. My temper is short but I've learned to control it somewhat.
I also carry a 18" collapsible baton just in case someone messes with me or my bike. I also carry pepper spray velcroed on my left side attached to my tank bra. Just in case someone approaches me while I'm at a stop sign or at a light.
That stuff I carry is just for the defensive. I won't use it just because someone is driving like an asshole in front of me.

nah , actually I woulda got the hell outa there too. I don't want anyone coming close to my bike. Those bolts are mainly for those bastards that tailgate me on the highway. They always think they can race a bike so i usually open up the throttle and drop some bolts behind for good measure.

well, it seems I am not the only one with "defensive riding tactics" in mind! A few weeks before I got into my wreck I was just cruisin behind some cager when he started doing the same thing pretty much. It was a two lane highway and these two cars were riding beside each other doin way less than the speed limit. I hate that sh!t. One of them should speed up or slow down, I don't care, but courtesy of the road means slower traffic to the right. Anyway, after a while I started gettin pissed cause he was playin games with me. When the other car tried to slow down to let me get in front he would slow down too. This went on for a little while so I started riding his ass (not a good idea, I know) Kinda hittin the throttle off and on. He starts slowin down real slow and decides to empty his ash tray at me, now I am pissed off. We were both in the right hand lane so I fake like I'm gonna ride between the cars and when he tries to close the gap, I haul ass to the other side and get on the shoulder. He was busy lookin the other way, so when I got beside him I honked my horn, flicked him off and fu@kin hurled a 9 volt battery I carry for just such occasions with the might of Hercules at his passenger door. Then I dipped as fast as I could so he couldn't get my plates. I know it did some major damage and I felt like a champ. Honestly people, I'm usually a calm kinda guy, but I had this rage come up outta me like I never had before when he threw that crap at me. Hey, he brought it on himself...
