$180 when I took it last year in TX.....as far as I have been told the advanced course is almost just like the beginners course (as far as what techniques you practice) except you are riding your bike and not some 125 or 250 cc cruiser

Yup, best $125 I've spent in order to gain more confidence and tips.

$75 for the experienced course in TN. I've always wanted to take it. A speeding ticket kinda nudged me into signing up.

Yeah, I took the MSF course a while ago and learned alot. Three nice days of riding and learning and it didn't cost me a dime.

Is the experienced course worthwhile? What is covered? I saw someone posted it's pretty much the basic course on your own bike, and I'm not really down for that.

MSF is great for people who have never rode a bike before, or are very new and don't understand the use of the controls on a bike.

I've rode lots of dirt bikes before MSF and it sucked!! I was bored out of my mind all weekend. The only benefit to me was I got my licsense without having to ride that stupid course at the DMV.

If you really want to learn how to ride take a class at a track. I took one with Reg Pridmore and learned tons in the one day. MSF just teaches you how to ride in a parking lot! You're lucky to see over 25mph all day. That doesn't really teach you anything about riding skills.

Just my opinion though.

I'm an instructor in San Jose, California. Let me know if you have any specific questions about the course. You can PM me if you want, too,

I've only rode a bike once *yesterday* and fell in love. I'm signing up for the class and purchasing an 03-04 R6 as soon as I can find one in my area. This is a great thread.
