2008 r6s tranny noise

I bought a new 2008 r6s, put about 5700 miles on it in 2 mos. at about 4700 miles it started makeing noise in the tranny like one of the shift forks was rubbing on a gear or something was out of place. i tookit to the dealer and they said it was probably the countershaft bearing. i said no way it wouldent have lasted as long as it did on a bad bearing. i then took it home and rode it untill it got cold and snowy, still same noise now worse no better, it is now at the dealer, was wondering if anybody else experianced this with their bikes. thanks, nick

08R6S here I just hit the 2100 mile mark on my bike (purchased in June 08) and it has a loud chatter anytime its in neutral. I can pull the clutch in and it will stop but the minute I release the clutch it goes back to making that noise and its only in neutral that it does this. Dealer told me its normal. But I am taking mine to a different dealer Tuesday for a second opinion.

Does yours make the noise all the time?

Wow i have the same bike color and all. but i have 650mi on mine. I will have to look at this more. Do you have any upgrades on it?

I think that is with most Yamaha's b/c my stepdad's vstar is like that too.
