Default need an experts help - rod knock / bent valves ??

hey guys im posting this for a friend, he has a 05 r6. The bike has been well taken care of and been meticulously taken care of. It has 9,000 miles on it, ok straight to my question, we were out riding the other day when he did a 2nd gear wheelie as he clutched it up, we heard a 'snap' noise, at first i thought the clutch blew, or the chain snapped, it wasnt the case, now we hear a 'tapping, knocking' noise and we dont kno what teh fuck is up with it, we've called in and asked several places and got mixed answers of being the rods gave out; or the valves are bent..but how is that possible ? i ride my bike twice as hard and i have 27,000 miles on my 05 r6; i track it, stunt it, and everytime i ride it sees redline..but my friend babies his bike and this is what he gets ? any inputs ? help would truly be appreciated.

btw.. we checked the coils, cam chain tensioner, front counter sprocket...we are clueless

**EDIT**
please move this thread to -R6 Maintenance & Technical- sorry

I'm no expert, but I've had to replace crankshafts that where damaged by pieces of broken clutch being jammed between the primary drive gear and the clutch basket.

Clutchin' up wheelies is expensive fun.

Knocking noise, that changed with RPM.

Have you even inspected the clutch yet? Until you do, no sense in guessing at the rest.
