Beware of stock 07 R1 rear sets
I was going around a right hander, knee down, when the rear set decides to snap...almost killing me in the process......anyone else have this happen?

wow.... happy to see you made it out of that corner alright, do you think it may have had something to do with excess vibration?

Yea...I see that scratch there...you will most likely have to call Yammie corp to get anything done.

^ true story about calling the corp
when i got my 05 it was still under warranty and the headlight projecter lense(the on on the inside ) cracked ... the stealership didnt want to deal with it .. so i went to another one and they called yamaha for me. They wanted me to turn in the headlight but i got another one for free

Happened to me on my 04 Try-umph Daytona 600. Stood up to go over the railroad tracks right as you're leaving the downtown area before you start heading up into Azusa. Next turn woulda ate me alive. Mine snapped clean off and landed me right back on the seat of the bike and I almost set her down. I was pissed as hell & took it in to So Cal Triumph. After I had done some research through the Daytona600.org forums and figured out they beefed up the rearset design on the 05 Daytona 650, I was trying to get them to replace them with the updated pieces and they wouldnt. That's what led me here, that was the last straw on the Daytona amongst a few other tranny related problems, thing was up for sale as soon as I got the replacement parts.
